A two-minute review of "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"

I might be the last person on the planet to see Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” but here I am writing about it nonetheless.

To sum it up, I really enjoyed this movie! This may come as a surprise given my track record with Marvel, but I felt that this was fresh and exciting. The visuals were mind-boggling, engaging, and unlike anything I’ve seen in mainstream animation in recent years. I really appreciated the comic book-like visual design. It made the film feel both vintage and contemporary all at once. Spiderman has always been one of the most endearing superheroes to me due to his position as an underdog. I appreciate what Marvel is doing with creating a younger Spiderman character in this film and other recent Spiderman ventures.

I hope to see more movies such as “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” in the future from Marvel. I felt that it was made with a lot of care and love. And in an era where superhero movies are largely the films drawing audiences to theatres, I see nothing wrong with a little care and love behind the insane budget.
